WHY DESIGN THIS MASK
In Beijing, the Elderly insist on outdoor sports in the haze days. Outdoor sports or an extremely important part of their lives. Considering the design of Interactive Haze Mask to enhance the quality of life.

DESIGN CONCEPT
With mask, the elder can not communicate freely, active as usual.
Aim to design an Interactive Mask to meet the elder people’s communication needs while ensure their health.
FOR THE OLD GROUP
Elders’ demand for electronic products
Old people are not accustomed to using smart phones, by contrast, old-fashioned radio is their familiar electronic equipment.
The elder prefer knobs, large buttons and other modes of operation.
Elderly people rarely use headphones, for them, use headphones is a troublesome thing.
They also do not like the experience of put-in headphones.
Comparing to traditional earphone, Bone conduction headphones for the elderly will be a good choice.

Use 3D model software, simulate the real range of different activities of the elder.
The data got has big discrepancy with assumption.

Privacy protection ---- for small groups
A and B have the possibility of mutual interference,
use the position to distinguish between primary and secondary input voice,
the reception in front of his mask loulder.

How to join a big group?
MARKER
A equipment need to mark the signal range of large group.
Each new people need a behavior to join the signal range. Walk around the MARKER for one circle. Automatically access to the group signal.
MARKER also have the function to access external media , and share it to the people in same range.
One group need only one MARKER .
PROTOTYPE
SIMULATED USER TEST
Invited two testers, using prototype simulation of operation:
Simulation the using process.
Find the problems existing in the control button.
Assuming that they are old men, what are the changes in the behavior?
Procedure
① Two testers wear MASK .
② Switch the knob ,check whether can they hear each other.
③ Talk through the MASK,no matter how bad the air condition.

HIGH-FI PROTOTYPE
Use RHINO software to create a high-fidelity model, refer to some haze masks product cases. According to the Human Engineering, designing a reasonable mask shape.
Make mask perfect fit human face, the component shape must achieve interactive functions.
PRODUCT TEST WITH MY REAL USERS
Evaluation
Communicate with older testers and hear feedback from testers. Demonstrate the complete operational process, consider whether the operation is appropriate.
Enhance the permeability of the mask and comfort. Reduce the discomfort of wearing a mask.
Look too technical sense, hope more lively, personalized.
The input and output button can be distinguished in a esaier way.
Consider mechanical disassembly for cleaning and filter replacement .
